Regarding Allens in Preble county check out the info I had posted on another board. E-mail lurch234@aol.com if this looks promising and I'll try to help. My GGG Grandmother Sarah Rock had a cousin in probally Charleston, SC whom she lived with, the Andrew Allen family, after the death of her mother from 1796 until 1803 or 1804. They later moved to Preble county Ohio. Sarah moved from SC to Ohio to rejoin family after the death of her father whom she cared for from 1804 to 1821. She married Thomas Stevenson there in 1825. Sarah was a Covenanter as was all of her family (also probally the Allens). There was a James Allen (probally a son of Andrew) who married a Carherine Rock (probally a daughter of her uncle Robert Rock)on September 3, 1828. I'm trying to find all I can on these connected familys. Rock, Stevenson (Stephenson),Allen, Ewing, Wiers, Little, McGarries, Donleys, and Wilson. All lived in South Carolina and moved to Preble county OH. Glen Stevenson Holmen, WI
