John or Abraham or Jacob Harshbarger/Hershberger
Posted by: Art Suever Date: January 15, 2002 at 15:48:11
  of 1623

Looking for information on John Harsbarger/Hershberger, Sr and his sons Abraham and Jacob. John, Sr. was on the 1820 census in Lanier twp in Preble Co, Ohio and he died between Feb 1 1832 and Mar 1 1833.
Abraham was on the same census and Jacob was in Montgomery County, Ohio at that time. Abraham and Jacob moved to Fountain Co,Indiana in 1829, but John and his wife Hannah remained in Ohio. Can anyone tell me any information about this family? They came to Ohio around 1812 from Rockingham, Virginia. There seems to be some confusion if John Sr is the same person as an Abraham Harshbarger I.
