James Waters born circa 1777 on the Atlantic Ocean aboard a ship, died November 26, 1857 in Preble County, Ohio. His first wife was Fannie Barton, daughter of James Barton, Sr. and they married December 19, 1799 in Pendleton County, Kentucky. He second married Mary Polly Lanier, daughter of Isham Lanier & Catherine Underwood Lanier, on September 10, 1810 in Pendleton County, Kentucky. Mary Polly Lanier was born June 17, 1790 possibly in Bourbon Co., Ky and died July 7, 1847 in Preble Co., Ohio.

Two of their children had ties to Preble County as well. Isham Lanier Waters married 1st to Elizabeth Booth and 2nd to Rachel Cassatt on February 9, 1847 in Preble Co., Ohio. Louisa Waters married John Harris January 20, 1845 in Preble Co., Ohio.

I am curious to know if anyone would know their place of burial or if there are descendants of these families in the county. I am a descendant of the Waters family of Boone, Gallatin, and Pendleton Counties, Kentucky.
