David & Esther (Stubbs) Sidwell lookup
Posted by: keith moody Date: January 06, 2001 at 05:49:24
  of 1623

My ancestor David Sidwell left a will in Preble Co OH-written in 1820; probated in 1824. He named:
wife: Esther (Stubbs) Sidwell
children: David, John, Sarah, Elizabeth, Mary, Ruth, Rebecca, Anna, Rachel, Lydia and Thomas. He left all of his land to his son Thomas; he left one dollar to the rest of his children.

Esther Stubbs (1767-1851) was a 2nd wife and David Sidwell was at least 30 years older than her. Most or all of these children were by his first wife Ruth.

Thomas Sidwell was listed in the 1830 Preble Co Ohio census. I don't have access to Ohio records. Could anyone look that up for me?

Have early Preble County deeds been put into book form?
