John Coovert, Preble County, OH
Posted by: Mary Sue Timmons-Coovert Date: December 05, 2000 at 20:52:30

I need information of John's point of origin in America. The information circulating in Preble Co. is that he came from the state of DE to OH. However, research in DE does not show any Cooverts. He may have walked through or he may have come from Delaware County, PA or Delaware County, NY. OR he may have come from Monmouth County, NJ. There were Cooverts living in the Shrewsbury and Long Branch areas of that county. Since that area also contained Brinleys, Prebles, Stocktons and other names of Preble County, I wonder if he came from the same area and passed through Delaware County, PA which was on the way to Ohio. Any help with this migration would be very helpful. Thanking you in advance.
