Charles provided an obituary for "Christina Johnson Widlund was born Jan. 12, 1853, in Jonkoping Smaland, Sweden."
I found her emigrating from Sweden.
Emibas was made from registrations in the Swedish parish to go to a foreign country. It is about 75% complete.
Johnson is an Americanization of Johannisdotter, which literally means daughter of Johannis. This provides the parish where she was born and which she emigrated from. This is important because Swedish genealogical records are kept in the parish.
Piga = female farm worker. (unmarried woman)

Swedish parish records are online, for a fee. There are three services to find her parents. I used Genline.
