Thank you again for your research on John Mills of Preble
county. I Love those old history books. Where would we family researchers be without them ? Each bit of info is a piece of the puzzle and anything found on a family before the 1850 census records listed whole families, is a Godsend.
(Even if every male in the family seemed to be named John. LOL)
So, looks like this John Mills moved on to parts unknown not to long after 1806 - which in my Mills family history
seems to be the case. I find my Abigail Mills married a John DRIVER in Montgomery County, OH in September of 1825.
However, one has to take into consideration the new Ohio counties that were being created during this time period.
I do not remember, right now, if Montgomery Co., was created from Preble Co., or not. I need to check on this.
It's so easy to get confused.
Thanks again for the great info, Julie. You have been a tremendous help and I truly appreciate your efforts on my behalf.
