I'm mailing printouts of our Genforum correspondence to Pryfogle cousins in Eaton, Preble, OH.
The Coulters you mention are not same family I went to school with, but name Russell Coulter rings a bell. He was a school principal in Richmond for many years. Don't know parents of the Coulters I knew, but my classmate was Eddie and he had brothers older brothers Don and Jim, who was a great golfer.
I was speculating which Springfield you lived in. I was born, raised and married in Richmond. When my children were college age my first husband and I divorced. I have remarried and have lived for 19 years in Hendricks County, IN, west of Indianapolis, an area where my husband grew up. We are both retired and I have taken up this genealogy pursuit. My mother, born and raised in Dayton, OH, is 92 and still lives independently in Richmond. She comes from good Scottish stock (Wallace, Whyte).
My paternal grandmother was Sarah E. Coe, who married J. Fred King, son of Charles Lincoln King and Anna Margaret (Maggie) Klinger King. The first American Coe was Robert, who came to America in 1634 as one of the early Puritans, lived in MA, CT and Long Island. My line of his descendants lived mostly in Connecticut (Litchfield County).
Would like to visit Springfield and Lincoln history some day.
Keep in touch if you like.
