Researching James WOODDEN, born about 1806 in Virginia. He moved to Ohio, and married Catherine SWERER on 29 Jan 1825 in Jefferson, Preble, Ohio.

They had at least 5 children:
Levi, Mary Jane, Agnes, Phebe Ann, and Robert S. The first three were born in Preble County, then they moved to Harrison, Kosciusko, Indiana about 1835. Catherine died there in Aug 1852, and in Dec James married Catherine LINN. They had a daughter, Martha S. James died there in 1868 and is buried in the Wooden cemetery. He was one of the first white settlers in Harrison, along with Andrew Sell.

I am trying to learn more about where in Virginia James came from and who his parents were. If anyone knows anything about this family, I would appreciate hearing from you.
