Sorry that you are having problems in your search. I assume you are out of state as I am. I have a couple of thoughts:
Perhaps your search really does need to be in Highland County.
Waverly has a nice motel and the people at the court house are very friendly and helpful.
Also, unless one lives close to a bigger city, and Pike Co. only has Waverly and Piketon, most internet service is dial-up or none at all, so there aren't a lot of researchers.
I have also found that this Genforum doesn't get as many hits as it did when it first originated. You may want to go to ancestry.com.
You could also contact someone at the Garnet A. Wilson Library in Waverly and ask for a recommendation: 740-947-4921.
