I am trying to find the parents of my great-grandmother Rosella “Ella” Viola HICKS who married Jasper Burch ROBSON 13 Feb 1899 in Adams Co, OH. The couple lived in the Cynthiana area (Perry Twp, Pike Co, OH) ca. 1900--1960.
Ella Hicks was born 7 Feb 1881 in Adams Co, OH. She died 27 Feb 1961 in Champaign Co, OH and was buried at Rose Hill Cemetery, Springfield, Clark Co, OH.
The children of Ella Hicks and Jasper Robson included Charles Henry (“Charlie” b. 11 Jan 1900), Joseph Ernest (“Joe” b. 1 Mar 1902), William Earl (“Earl” b. 10 Oct 1904), Laura Frances, Mary Esther (b. 24 Oct 1913) and Lester Burch (my grandfather, b. 11 Aug 1915). All were born in Pike Co, probably in the area known as “Beech Flats” near Cynthiana.
I’ve already hit a brick wall in trying to find anything about Jasper Robson or his family... I’m hoping Ella and her people left a better paper trail!
