I am looking for more information that connects these two women to the same John Gardner b 1742-50. Violet died 1781 in PA. He married Mary and moved from Chester Co PA to Berkeley Co.,VA where she is buried. I show his son James,by Violet, next door to Mary in 1810 VA. James married Mary Conway 1802 VA, then Susanna Beavers 1813 OH. John's death is vague, but they say he died on the way to sell grain? in Loudon Co., VA. No marker ever found. Perhaps an old newspaper article or diary. James was close to his half brother Francis Douglas Gardner it seems. James left VA 1812 for OH. James siblings were Francis John (m Rebecca Shirley VA) and Jane who married Edward Oldham 1800 in Maryland?, d 1946 in Pickaway Co., OH.
