Was it ever called Piqua County? Lewis, Olson

My great grandfather John Olson Lewis' obituary says he was born in Piqua County, Ohio...could this also be Pickaway County? He's hard to track, not even sure if I'm in the right place. He was born in 1839 and this obit was published in 1917 in New Sharon, Iowa where he died.

Obit says his mother died when he was young and he moved to Ellison, IL where he married Lydia Lucretia Frazier in 1860. They moved to Iowa between 1870 and 1875.

The 1880 census shows that both his parents were born in Ohio, so I'm hoping that the family was around long enough to find...if I'm in the right county. I'm also hoping his middle name, Olson, might be a clue to his maternal line.

Any geographic hints appreciated.
