August Schroeder b.Feb. 8, 1867, in Germany came U.S. in 1890 (no information on ship, port of entry or home city/village in Germany)
Naturalization papers filed with the Paulding County Probate Court Sept. 9, 1896. His name was misspelled on the document as Augustus Stroder (or Strader). Papers were signed by Darius Leeth, judge and ex-officio clerk.

Married Helena M. Hubner. Marriage license was issued in Paulding County Oct. 19, 1893, signed by Lafayette Lewis, probate judge and Benj. Demond, deputy clerk. Helena’s surname was spelled “Hubiner”. Married by Evangelical Lutheran Pastor G. Sutter on Oct. 29, 1893. Her name spelled Helene Huebner on that document.

Family had two children while living in Ohio: Elsie and Edward. Then moved to Michigan and had three more: Carl, Sophia and Freda. Lived mostly in Midland County area.
Frank, Wilhelm, Augusta and Herman Hubner were Helena's brothers and sisters. Their mother was Sophia. Frank had a farm in Midland County and his mother lived with him.
Am seeking someone with information on the German link for this family.
