Baldwins in Paulding County

Hi, my name is Staci Baldwin. I am the only daughter of James Lamar Baldwin, and the youngest grandchild of Frederick Baldwin and Emma (Shaw) Baldwin. I am trying to trace my family history, but I really don't know where to start. I have both of my grandparents birth dates and birth places. I also know the names of both of the parents and the names of most of their siblings.

My grandfather, is Frederick Baldwin. He was born on January 1, 1905 in Sherwood Ohio (Defiance or Williams County) to Thomas Baldwin and Francis (Birkmeyer, spelling?) Baldwin. His siblings were: Elizabeth, Joseph, Thomas, John, Ezra, and George. The last time I heard anything, which was back in 1994, Ezra and George were the only children of Thomas and Francis that were still living. At the time they were living in a nursing home in Defiance Ohio.

Frederick married Emma Shaw, from Cecil Ohio (Paulding County), in 1928. They moved to Toledo, Ohio and had two children, Dora Mae (Baldwin) Cone, born in 1929, and James Lamar Baldwin, born on December 2, 1939. Frederick worked for the railroad at Wabash Tower. The last residence that Frederick and Emma lived at was on the East Side of Toledo, on White Street. Frederick passed away on December 15, 1993. Emma (Shaw) Baldwin currently resides with their daughter on the South End of Toledo.

If there is anyone out there that has any information on this family, please get in touch with me.

Thank you very much!!
