Dear Sharon;

I am really surprised with your post. I haven't had a lot of success doing that line. My Great grandmother is from Josephine's 1st marriage to Votrie, not sure of given name. Her name was Celia, then changed to Cecelia as people added their own phonics to names. Most of what I have came from Josephine's gggrandaughter of her 3rd husband Ben Mercer. There are also some post on Genform "Votrie/Votry/Votra" with information. Josephine born in Paris, France 2-13-1834; died Paulding Co. Ohio 4-28-1919. The 1870 census shows her with 4 children, but I think she gave some children to a church orphanage. No solid proof of this, since the records were destroyed. Have not had a chance to get to Ft. Wayne this year to do more research. !880 census shows her living in Paulding Co. Ohio with 3rd husband Ben Mercer, and their 2 daughters and 3 stepchildren. They listed my ggrandmother as a Huss, so you can see how mistakes get made.
Do you have any information on Josephine and Seraphine's family? Anything you could provide would be great. My e-mail is "tedangola@buckeye-express.com" if that would be easier.

Ted
