Hi, I do not believe I am related to Gen. George Sanderson. If I am I would like to know how? I am related to James Sanderson Sr. migrated from Ireland. Born 1762. I am following several different James Sandersons. I cannot find a Sinift in any of them. But I could be wrong. My line is Sheila (Sanderson) Heaton (me), Father- Vaughn Sanderson- Paulding, Ohio, Grandfather- Dewey Sanderson- Paulding, Ohio, Great Grandfather- George W. Sanderson, His father- Silas Sanderson, his father Alexander Sanderson, his father James Sanderson Sr.... There are lots of George's, James, Alexanders, out there. I remember my grandpa talking about another Sanderson group in Paulding Co., Ohio. They were friends, his name was Sherman Sanderson. They often wondered if they were related but could not find any connection. I inhereted a set of dishes for silverware (holders) beautiful that was Shermen's and I believe his wifes name was Laura. This could be the connection you are looking for. They lived around Paulding Co., and Defiance Co., Ohio for awhile.
