I was wondering if anyone lives in Paulding ,Ohio and reads this ? I noticed hardly any questions get answered here or in Paulding,Ohio site at ROOTSWEB. You'd think someone who was a member of the "Genealogy Society" that's suppose to exsist in Paulding,Oh. would try to help? I'm still looking for death records/certificates/obituaries for two family members that died in Grover Hill,Paulding Co.,Oh. in 1918. We even traveled to Paulding,Ohio ourselves last summer. When I asked about death records, the people at the courthouse couldn't get rid of us fast enough. The woman at the vital records dept.across the street, took one quick look, and said there was nothing. After asking her to look at least three more times,I did come away with 2 birth certificates, one 1910 filed in 1928! and one for 1917.All the time she was looking, she kept telling us to "try the library". The last time I checked, the library doesn't have birth and death certificates? We did try to at least find an obituary for 1918,however we ran out of time.If it wasn't for the graves, located in Middle Creek Cemetery,Grover Hill.Oh. we wouldn't have any evidence that these family members died in Grover Hill,Oh.,both in 1918. By the way, this family is on the 1910 and 1920 Grover Hill,Latty twp.,Paulding Co.,Oh. census. Also ,they have 3 small ref. in "The History of Grover Hill" by Laurence R.Hipp I even dropped off a copy of one of the birth certificates, because the "Paulding Co.,Oh.Genealogy Society" had the surname spelled wrong in their latest book of "Cemetery Inscriptions". I guess we're all on our own here.
