I can't find any other info on Wert, Wirt or Wertz right off hand but I will look in some other Museum resources in the upcoming week.

However, in my own personal genealogy, I have a 3-great-grandmother named Rose Ann (Rosan) Wertz born Sep 1838, married George Frederick Myerholtz abt 1856, lived the rest of her life in Woodville Township, Sandusky County, Ohio and died in Sep 1923. She had four sons and each of their death certs spells her name differently! Wertz, Wirts, Wortz, and Woetz. Her name is spelled Myerholtz on her tombstone but on her husband's it is spelled Mireholts. At least one of the cousins claim she was married to a Spafford before she married George, but I have never seen anything to suggest this.

I have never been able to find her parents' names. Do you by chance have a 'dangling' Rose Anna Wertz in your database?

Thanks -- Vicki
