My wife's ancestor Alexander McClurg was born about 1812 in Ohio (acc to Census of 1850). He married Isabel Welch in Virginia, had four children in Virginia and then returned to Meigs Twp, Muskingum Co, where he lived out his life.
A William McClurg of Zanesville Twp married Amanda Parker of Jefferson Twp on Sept 2, 1834. If he was 21 at the time, he would have been born in 1813.
We don't know who Alexander's parents are. Could William be a brother? What other McClurgs were in Muskingum in the early 1800's? I'd appreciate hearing from others with McClurg connections to Muskingum.
