Job Simmons, 74, Hopewell Township died at the home of his daughter Mrs. Ode Shipplett at 6:00 a.m. Wednesday, from a complications of diseases.
Mr. Simmons was a well known and highly respected resident of the community in which he lived.
Surviving him are the following children; Mrs. Shipplett at whose home he died, Mrs. Mary B. Robinson, Mrs. Georgia Taylor and Mrs. Nellie Morris, all of this city; Mrs. Prudence Roberts of the Pike Road and Mrs. Verna Burkhart of the West Pike.
The body was removed to the William Thompson morgue in White Collage and will be taken to the home of his daughter, Mrs. Roberts, 701 Belknap Street Thursday morning.
Funeral services will be held at the Roberts home at 1 p.m. Friday. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
