Gwenith E. Shaw Helbert

LOUDONVILLE--Gwenith E. Helbert, 79, of 315 N. Union St. died Sunday morning at her home after a long illness.

She was born May 19, 1914, in Westfield Township, Morrow County, to Virgel and Alice Eva Miller Shaw.

She was a graduate of Samaritan Nursing School, Ashland. Mrs. Helbert attended the First Alliance Church and was a member of the Women's Christian Club of Wooster.

Survivors include her husband, Henry E. Helbert, whom she married March 21, 1941; two brothers, Jess Shaw of Lakeland, Fla., and Howard Shaw of Port Orange , Fla.; and three sisters, Anna Scarbrough of Findlay, Miriam Calkins of Columbus and Grace Stock of Pasadena, Calif.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Stanley Shaw, and a sister, Lila Kaelbert.

Calling hours are today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Byerly Funeral Home, where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. by the Rev. David Baines. Burial will be in Loudonville Cemetery.
