I am also a descendant of Reuben Beard and Eliza Loveland. My line is through their 2nd child, Almon Philo Beard. Last summer I visited Bloomfield Township Cemetery to take photos as four generations of my line are buried there. I understood that Reuben & Eliza were buried there, too, but I did not find them. I would love to have a location description for my next trip.

I have a copy of Philander Charles Beard's (Reuben & Eliza's first child) "Supplement to the Loveland Genealogy Vol. II Containing the Descendants of Eliza Loveland and Reuben Beard" which he published abt 1897. In that book he says that Reuben's mother was Mrs. Parmelia Porter Beard who had married 1st Gideon Beard (b. 1764 and died in 1801). They had 3 children. Then she married 2nd Gideon's brother, Victor (b. 1784 in NY d. October 12, 1854 in Delaware Co., Ohio). Victor and Parmelia had 7 children, one of them being Reuben Beard. He reports that she was the daughter of Dr. Porter of Otsego County, NY. It would seem that Otsego County would be a good place to look. My preliminary, but not extensive, search has not turned up anything definite. We are definite from the same family.
