On November 5, 1840, John H. Seely purchased land from
Rosanna Smith, widow, in Section 17, Manchester Township,
Morgan County, OH.
This is where Seeleyville was established.
John Seeley kept a store there.
At some time, William Crisman operated a general store there.
Othes note a blacksmith shop, one saw and planning ill, two wagon shops, one undertaker and one lodge of I.O.O.F.
A 1875 map notes several buildings and a grist mill at this site.
Can anyone tell me more about the families who lived there?MaryLu in Minnesota
