Still searching...........

Do you have a death date on either of them???

My Gooden ancestor was the daughter of Henry Gooden & Lucinda Luellen. Lucinda died after child birth and was raised by her maternal Aunt. I am working on a theory...But need the death date of Henry & wife Rachel to move forward on it.

Henry Gooden sr, did have a son Henry Gooden but would have been to young to be the father of my ancestor. Sooooooo, I am wondering if Rachel died shortly after the birth of their last daughter, Henry (an old man by then) was left with an infant daughter and may have remarried (the much younger) Lucinda Luellen. They had a daughter together and then Lucinda died after the birth. But without a death date for Rachel its just a 'genie hunch' for now.

No one to date has been able to give me a death date for either of them..I have been working on this line for many years and nothing to connect 'this' Henry Gooden with my Lucinda Luellen...Except his name and the fact that Henry Gooden sr was living next door to Zadock Luellen (father of Lucinda) for the 1840 census. My ancestor was born 1842 and on the 1850 census is living with her mother's married sister.

I know that my Lucinda Luellen was the daughter of Zadock Luellen and she married a Henry Gooden/Goodin and together they had a daughter Rebecca Gooden and Lucinda died shortly after. This is documented in the Will left by Zadock Luellen.

Henry Gooden
md 28 Mar 1841 Morgan Co, OH
Lucinda Lewellen
**I have this document*

Thank You,
Marsha
