I am researching this family... Jasper came from PA along with brothers. They were carpenters and built brick houses in Morgan and Muskingum Counties Ohio. Jasper Smith, b. 1816 d. 1853, buried in the McConnellsville Cemetery. He married Catherine E. Fouts, b. Feb. 17, 1824 in VA d. in Monroe County, OH. Children: Sarah A. b. 1840; Mary Elizabeth, b. 1842; Amy, b. Sept. 13, 1843, married John Teeter; Jacob H., b. Oct. 10, 1845 ...married Lucy Teeter;
Susan A., b. 1847, married (Male) Alexander; John Lindsey Smith, b. May 1850, d. 1923 in McConnelsville, married Martha Sole, b. 1853 in Jackson Township, Monroe Co., OH d.
