Hi Judy

Thank you for checking back with me.

On seeing Madison Twp, Butler Co, OHio, am wondering if at that point in time, was before Darke County was organized??

Then it might be that the 2 Joseph's are related to the Colonel James MILLS - Sarah REED families.

As James and Sarah removed from around Losantiville/Cincinnati, he was the one being paid to kill off all the wolves from around the settlers back then.

He the one who came to the Northwest Territory following his paid man, who was to take his horses and ?? there.

James and family arrived, and no horses or man to be found.

THus another frontier story of settlers being taken advantage.

This James MILLS listed as of Sussex CO. NJ USA, then removed to PA, then to Northwest Territory, settled finally in Madison, Darke Co. OH. per most of what I have read, here and there. Various county histories.

On Elias and Chloe am still being amazed every day.

Now FIND that Elias' father, Elias Sr, being married to a Martha STILES.

STILES being the key word here, for DNA testing seems to link those surnames that have STILES and OVERSTREET and SLATON related, to MILLS< but not my direct MILLS, nor yours, at least so far that I can tell.

Very Interesting, this DNA stuff is really "Stirring" the Pot.
