Thanks for the compendium of information. And I apologize for the delay in responding.

The reason that I am searching for Solomon Cross, Jr. in Ohio is that proof exists that he is not the Solomon Cross shown in the 1800 Census of Buncombe Co., NC. Solomon Cross, Jr. sold his property in Baltimore Co., Md. in 1804. In the deed his wife, Mary, consented to the sale. If he was in Baltimore Co., Md. in 1804 married to Mary, he could not be in Buncombe Co., NC. in 1800 married to Catherine Gudger. Further, Gudger is not a Baltimore Co. surname but rather a Buncombe Co. surname. The Baltimore County 1810 Census enumerates his son, John, who likely married Mary Williams and moved to Ohio before 1820 (Muskingum Co.) Circumstantial evidence indicates he had a daughter, Sarah, who married Nicholas Foster in Baltimore Co., Md. For these reasons I would like to know much more about Solomon Cross of Mongtomery Co., OH. Did he have a son who married Nancy Williams?
