Hi Mickey: Yes, there were several different MILLS' families who came to Ohio all around the opening to the area to new settlement. 1788 on. Elias, Elijah, Jacob, James, Charles, William, Colonel John, Major John, Thomas, Richard, are just a few. Interesting to note, that one of Joshua's children or grandchildren was married at a home located in Centerville Oh. That is where my ancestor, Richard MILLS, spouses, Martha BARHAM, and Catherine MORGAN, owned over 80 acres of land. See database 1381008 and chekwriter on rootsweb.com for some background on those families. Also of note: DNA test on Richard's family DNA kit#33009, as George, now category "X".
Go to www.familytreedna.com search MILLS, click MILLS, click link, go to DNA results page, see category "X". John, Abraham, Lewis, and George, my DNA Kit, Patricia Fischer. Do you know of any descendants of this MILLS family that might like to join the DNA testing PROJECT for MILLS? Just to see where they fall in the scheme of MILLS.
Pat
