Turner/McQuown, 1900, OH<CA
It's a big get-together, for sure.
Here's my grandmother [Wanda Ione Turner], with her mother [Cora McQuown], father [Carl Robert Turner], grandpa [Dr. Robert Turner], and grandma [Alexandra Blackman].Spaced betwixt the group are her Uncle Robert Turner, and Aunts Della and Alta.I suspect the spouses of Della and Alta are there also, but my only surviving relative of that era can't identify their faces.
It's a good photo of a large collection of people dating about 1908 in Ohio .... Sandusky, I presume, as this was the origin of my g-grandparents before their migration to CA.
Any Turner relatives out there? My G-Grandpa Turner died from TB in 1919 and I think there were no OH communications since Cora [McQuown] remarried D.S. Elder in CA.
It appears to be taken in a park (or large estate) involving about 70 people posed for the photo; an awesome 4-generation background shot for anyone's geneaolgy report.
I'll be glad to forward the photo via "attachment" to anyone who wishes to view faces and dress.-Or- if there is a site where a photo such as this can be openly displayed, I would appreciate the direction.
