Hi,
I am also researching Jonathan Shurley, he was step-son of Charles Armentrout in Preble co. ohio. Married Mary Pence, had 11 children and adopted one, he was justice of the peace i do believe. I haven't found out what his mother's name was but he was born Jan. 27,1801 in VA and moved with his mother and uncle John Neff and his family to Preble county in the autumn of 1805. And in 1807 his mother married Charles Armentrout(or similar spelling). I can give you more, but its scetchy. If you know of anything about charles, i would appreciate the help here.
thanks tabatha
