Good Evening.

I'm also curious to understand the issues you raise.

I'm the g-g-g grandson of Richard Cain (1786 - 1865) and Hannah Howell (~1786 - 1863). The book "The Descendants of Walter and Mary Ann (Hull) Cain of Hunterdon County, NJ" on page 12 cites that Hannah is the daughter of Thomas Howell, proven by land deed 1808, Belmont Co. OH.

However, the deed does not list the name of Thomas Howell's spouse. I've been trying to locate proof of who Hannah's mother was.

Please review the Howell family information at the following link and let me know your thoughts. Might this be the same Thomas Howell?

This site discusses a Thomas Howell (~1767 - 1825) married ~1890 to Annie ?? (~1767 - 1867). However, except for Aaron, the other children listed do not match the children named in the deed.

Best Regards,

SAM
