James & Elizabeth BLACK Family - Benton, Township

Seeking to share information with descendants of James Black and his spouse Elizabeth Burton. James and Elizabeth lived in Benton Twp., Monroe County, Ohio and were parents of the following children:
Mary b. ~1859;
George W. b.~1860;
John F. b.~1864;
Allis "Allie" M. b.~1867.
(Names & Ages per 1880 Monroe County Census, Benton Twp.

Believe parents, James & Elizabeth, were born in mid-1830’s. Believe James was the James M. Black b. PA who resided in Benton Twp and died on 05/01/1872 when he was 37-yrs old as a result of a steam boat accident near Marietta, Ohio.(Per death record @Woodsfield, Ohio Probate).

Believe Spouse Elizabeth, age 44, b. WV remarried to a "Gg. M.D. Boleo." Believe daughter, Mary Black, age 21, was a servant residing in a "J.R Algeo" household. (Per 1880 Monroe County Census, Benton Twp.)

Son, John Black's spouse was Lydia A. (Givens) Black (1861 – 1958). Per John’s death cert. he was born in Monroe County, Ohio and resided in Benton Township. John and his spouse are buried at Salem Hall Church Cemetery, Grandview Township, Washington County, Ohio as are his sister Allie (Black) Fry & her husband George Washington Fry.
