Seeking to validate family history by locating information on French sailing ship Eugenius and passenger list.
My Fankhauser family history indicates that during the third week of May, 1819 the three-masted French vessel, Eugenius set sail to America from Antwerp, Belgium. On July 20, 1819 it arrived in New York. Have been unable to locate any verification of this ships existence. I realize obtaining ship information prior to 1820 is a challenge. Appreciate any assistance or firm leads on where this information may be obtained. Thank you.
