I looked briefly at the local library today at a stack of Miami county books... checked some marriage and cemetery records... but didn't locate any of "your" guys...
I saw in the Ohio Death Certificate Index that Isaac C. Allen died 8/3/1917 in Miami Co, Ohio...
The 1900 says Isaac was married to Mary R., but the Ohio Marriages Index at ancestry.com says that he married Mary H. Mitchell on 12/17/1870 in Shelby Co, Ohio... (that could be a transcription error in one of those two documents... i haven't looked at the census image myself)...
The Ohio Death Index at ancestry.com lists Oscar W. Allen, born abt 1878, died 9/9/1972 in Montgomery Co, Ohio?I looked for an obit, but the reel of microfilm ended on 9/10 and he didn't appear on the 9th or the 10th... so i'll have to look at the 11th thru the 13th next trip... 1878 coincides with his age in the 1920 census record... so it's probably him... hoping if i locate an obit that it will mention his children?
Do you have an obit for John Thomas Allen?I can call the Troy Historical Society library... they have a lot of obits on index cards.... I don't think I ever looked for Allen since it's not a direct line.... Estella's son, Ralph Sherman is my first cousin twice removed...Here's the obit for Estella Allen's husband... (Carrie Replogle is my g-grandmother)
