Sara Louis BRANDEL (1911-2004)

Sara Louise BRANDEL, the daughter of Edward W. BRANDEL (1878-1971) and Mayme Ethyl GRUBBS (1885-1919) of Piqua, Miami County, OH, who married Richard Bailey GROSVENOR (1912-1969) of Piqua on 12 April 1936, died, yesterday, September 26, 2004 at her home in Decatur, DeKalb County, GA. She was the mother of two children, Michael Linn GROSVENOR (1939-1993) and Gail Grosvenor CLARKE, who survives.She is survived by her daughter and four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Sara BRANDLE, who re-married late in life to Edward E. HARVEY, Jr. of Decatur, GA will be cremated and her ashes buried between her late husband and son in the Decatur City Cemetery, Decatur, DeKalb County, GA.
Sara BRANDLE lived in Piqua from her birth until her first husband, "Dick" GROSVENOR, moved his company, Tykie Toy Company of Piqua to Decatur, GA in 1951. During her life she and her family returned to Piqua many times and there is still some family still in the general area.
Her mother and older brother, Luther Linn BRANDLE (1907-1919) both died in the 1919 Flu Epidemic.Her mother's family were from Liberty TWP, Darke County, Ohio and her father was from Mt. Healthy, Hamilton County, OH.
