Pat,
My great great grandmother was Mary Gesina Boose, married in Cincinnati in 1855. Suspect from Germany. Daughter of Bernard Boos/Boose. One reference says Brosse(which is probably wrong.
I've checked Cincinnati directories, but only get confused trying to track the ever changing spellings.
