There is an entry on Rootsweb's WorldConnect site for Mary Ann Nickum which says her father was Jacob Nickum (mother unknown), but I'm not sure this is correct because the 1820 census for Preble Co., OH lists Jacob with 2 males under age 10, 1 male 16-26, 3 females under age 10 and 1 female 16-26. Mary Ann would have been 14 if your date of birth is correct, so it doesn't look like she is Jacob's daughter.

There is a Peter Nickum in Preble Co. in 1820 with a couple of daughters the correct age for Mary Ann, so he might be a possibility.
