My John Wilks(es) was married to Catherine Jenkins, Their son, David Wilkes (Wilt) married my grandmother. I have two names listed for my grandmother: Eva M. Barger and Evelyn Belle Barger. I do have the marriage license for David Monroe Wilkes and Evelyn Belle Barger. However, I find geneology listings for Eva M. Barger married to David Monroe Wilt. Father is listed as John Wilt and John Wilkes. I don't know if this is your John Wilkes. I can't tell if Catherine Jenkins was his only wife.
