On Sept. 12, 1918, Harry registered for the WWI draft in Bellaire. He said he was born 28 Dec 1884, was a glass worker with Bellaire Bottle Co. and his wife's name was Anna Lulu. He was of medium height and build with gray eyes and brown hair. Harry's son, Robert Alexander, enlisted in the U. S. Army on 16 Jul 1942 in Bellaire, as a First Lieutenant. The online info is brief, saying only that his mother was Mrs. Louise Doerge and his wife's name was Mrs. Cornelia Caravasios Doerge. Harry Sr. may have died 5 Mar 1926 in Belmont County, Lulu may have been the Mrs. Louise that died 29 June 1970 in Steubenville and Robert A. died 1 May 1993 in Cambridge. You could try those cities' libraries for their obits; http://www.bellaire.lib.oh.us/ and http://www.steubenville.lib.oh.us/ and http://www.gcdpl.lib.oh.us/. Notify Administrator about this message?
