I believe my great-grandfather Paul Darabos (wife Veron Mary Biro Darabos & son Bela Darabos) was naturalized in Toledo circa 1900. He emigrated to the U. S. circa 1890, living first in Bridgeport, Connecticut and then briefly in Toledo before settling in Dayton.
I have been told there were many Hungarians in the Toledo community during these years. Does anyone know what brought them to the area, i.e., specific steel companies recruiting, etc.?
