Looking for parents/ancestors of William and Mary (Huggins) Vance. Any suggestions welcome.

Joseph Edward Decker
b. 07/08/1809 (Cumberland County, PA)
d. 01/23/1868 (Centerville, PA) (He may be buried at Pine Grove Furnace, Cumberland Co., PA)

Married: 06/28 or 29, 1852

Elizabeth Hoover* (2nd wife*this is the line.) [1st wife—Elizabeth Sheaffer, d. c. 1852. Buried at Pine Grove Furnace, Cumberland Co., PA]
b. 12/17/1824 (Cumberland County, PA.) Elizabeth (Hoover) Decker moved to Kansas with daughter, Jane Ellen and John Calvin in 1878, and is buried in Kansas. Don’t know date of death of Elizabeth (Hoover) Decker—no marker on grave. John’s brother had traveled to Kansas in 1876.

Amanda Josephine Vance (Amanda moved to Kansas 1886)
b. 03/25/1862 (Meigs County, OH)
d. 03/02/1938 (Lincoln County, Kansas)

Parents: Amanda’s obituary shows William and Mary (Huggins) Vance. (Death Certificate for Amanda (Vance) Decker listed William as her father and no additional information.)

Newspaper obituary for Amanda (Vance) Decker lists four sisters: Mrs. Abner Heaton of Urbana, Ohio; Miss Mary Vance and Mrs. Jacob Mitche of New Brighton, PA and Mrs. Gertrude McDonie of Huntington, West Virginia.

US 1860 Census shows John Calvin’s parents, Joseph and Elizabeth (Hoover) in Cumberland County, Dickinson Township.

US 1870 Census shows William (35) and Mary(28) Vance in Salisbury, Langsville P.O., Meigs Co., Ohio and Amanda J. Vance (7), Alice M. Vance (5), Mary A. Vance (2), Ida Vance (5 months) (Born in Dec.)

Cumberland County Historical Society website: “Surnames on record in the Hamilton Library” lists the names Decker, Huggins and Vance. (I can’t access any of this information online.)
