The Roush Chapter Sons of the Revolution is now seeking charter members. The Sons of the Revolution (S.R.) was formed in 1883 for descendants of actual soldiers of the American Revolution or descendants of Signers of the Declaration of Independence. (Patriotic service is NOT accepted.) Do not confuse this organize with the younger and similarly named group call the Sons of the AMERICAN Revolution (SAR). The SAR split off from the SR and is much more costly in membership fees and dues. The chapter is named for the 9 ROUSH brothers and one first cousin who were Revolutionary War soldiers and came to the Gallia-Meigs-Mason Counties area. Membership is NOT limited to just members of this family. Any man age 21 with a blood-related ancestor who fought in the American Revolution may join. (Please note that e-mail requests for information will be slow. Snail-mail or phone for prompt response.) For an application or for more information, contact; Keith D. Ashley, 34465 Crew Road, Pomeroy, OH 45769 PH: (740) 992-7874 Notify Administrator about this message?
