It appears that the Kathleen mentioned in the news of Edward's death was in fact Bertha Kathleen so that matches your information. I found Edward & Bertha's son H.Y (Harold)in the 1920 census. He was also in the family dry goods business. In 1930 Edward's widow Bertha is living on South Court St in Medina which was the family home. I think you have a match!
