Yours is a story I haven't heard. Perhaps rather than it being my gg-grandmother, it could have been a child of one of her descendants. My gg-grandmother died in 1908 living to be 90 yrs old. After the death of her husband in 1886 she lived with her daughter, Mrs. Gilbert.

Now let me get to the Elizabeth Marrs/Myers to whom I am referring. Maybe this will help you.

Elizabeth Neal b 1814 in Adams Twp., Champaign Co., OH d 1904. She married James Marrs/Myers son of William Marrs and Jane McClure, He was born 1809 in OH and d 1866 in IL.

Children of the above marriage were:
Rebecca J m Shaw
David m Bird/Byrd
Serena m Shaw
William m Elizabeth Grissom and Manory(another possible Marrs/Myers Elizabeth by marriage)
Preston m Cornell
Elizabeth Marrs b 1853 m Gilbert (This is the daughter that took in to care for her mother Elizabeth Neal Marrs after her father's death)NOTICE THE DATE, I don't have any records of children for this person, I haven't researched that far.
J H Marrs
Emma m Ravert

I sure hope this helps you. If this is the family you seek, hello family.
