I think we're tracking the same family although I have Benjamin's father as Jasper W. Clark. (Perhaps the W. stands for William.) The family is living in Westfield, Morrow Co., Ohio in 1850. Benjamin F. is listed as Franklin. My husband is descended from his younger sister, Loretta. I also found a marriage record for Jasper W. Clark and Elizabeth Russell on July 11, 1839 in Delaware Co., Ohio. I can't find the family in the 1860 census, but like you, I found them living in Schuyler Co., MO in 1870. Loretta married Thomas E. Halley in Adair Co., MO (just south of Schuyler Co.) in 1868.
Have you found any more info on the family since you posted your message in 2010? That's interesting that your family lore says that Elizabeth was part Indian!
