Hi Jeanne,

This was an easy lookup. George and Annis and Mervyn and his brother Don, and several other Orahoods are burried in Marion Cemetery which the Marion Area Genealogy Society has read, and made a book on, that lists burrial dates. I copied the obits for George and Annis. George Washington Orahood was born Oct 13, 1852 in Allen County to George and Anna Hilliards Orahood. He died Feb 27, 1929, and was survived by his widow and two sons, Mervyn D. and Donald C. Annis M. Orahood was born at Marysville, on Feb 2, 1866 to Samuel R. Griffin and Hannah Wylge Griffin, both natives of Union County. It states that her husband died in 1928, but it was 1929. She was survived by her 2 sons, Don and Mervyn, six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She died in the home of her grand-daughter, Mrs. Herman Haas, on Aug. 31, 1940.

Your name sounds really familiar. Are you related to my Grays in Madison County? I haven't had a chance to work on them for awhile, but plan to get back to them one of these days. I believe I did a look-up on your Orahoods once before, so perhaps that is why I know the name.

Anyway, I hope the info helps.
