My wife's great grandfather was Dr. Edwin Russell Cook, who moved to Marion County in 1849, to Prospect Village in 1853 and died there on November 6, 1879. He was born in New York in 1816.He married Mary A. Sands of Lisbon, Penn. Dr. Cook had two sons: Frank M.and G. W. Cook.

Dr. Cook started a drug store in Prospect in 1869. Frank was a druggist and continued the drug store after his father died. G. W. was a partner in the drug store, named at this time Cook Brothers, and was also Cashier of the Prospect Bank, beginning in 1883.

Frank's first marriage was to Alice R. Myer of Clinton County, Michigan. He was a member of the Village Council and the Board of Education. He is my wife's grandfather.

G. W. married May Dix of Marion County in 1882.He was Township Treasurer for a number of years.

We would like to hear from anyone researching this family
