Early Youngstown African American Churches

Doing research on ministers in my family and running into a lot of Black Baptist churches that were started in the late 1800s and then failed. I have a great article from the newspaper dealing with the baptism of 5 people in the Mahoning River in 1889 in connection with a Union Baptist Church (1888 start--not the same as the current one). Checked phone books, newspapers, Arms Museum and other regular sources. If anyone has suggestions on where I can look for additional information on these old churches, I would appreciate it.
