You can find original and copied Jewish Times at the Mahoning County Historical Society that is located in the Arms Museum in Youngstown, OH. I am sorry that I do not have the address of this historical society. I am sure if you search for it on a serarch engine, then you will find it.

I did alot of research at this historical society several years ago. I am not from Youngstown. I actually live several hours away from there. I had a cousin (who is now deceased) that was a member of that historical society and got me in there for free. I think you have to pay a small cost to do research there. It is worth the cost! The staff will copy anything you find there.

I don't know how far back the Jewish Times goes but I do know they have the 1930s. I copied my great-grandmother's obit from the Jewish Times that was published in 1935. My great-grandmother was Kate Greenwald Friedman.

I see from other messages that you have posted, that you are looking into the "Kravitzs" of Youngstown. Any relation to Rosie Kravitz that runs "Kravitz's Deli" in Youngstown? I am not related to this family. My father's friend once worked for Rosie at the Deli many years ago. My family always goes there everytime we are in Youngstown (about once a year) and buys bagels there. I have heard from relatives that Rosie still goes to work each day (she is probably in her 90s now) but lives in Levy Garden's Assistant Living in Youngstown.

I have info on the following Jewish families of Youngstown:

Loewits, Greenwalds, Friedmans, Shagrins, Leopolds, Rosenbaums, Solomons, Weisses, Altmans, Brunswicks, Livingstons, Rands, Farkes, Kovskys, Wolffs, Rudicks, Goldsteins, Goodmans, Kornhausers, Brenners, Kleins, Lustigs, Eppsteins.

I hope I have been some help to you.
